We use survey data to examine whether there are some sociodemographic groups that particularly value the amenities cities provide. find young, single and childless persons young men with tertiary education relatively more satisfied urban areas as place of residence. Being is important for women's appraisal places, while having children matters men’s preferences. There a high degree agreement between on particular amenity represents an or disamenity. Higher education, public transportation, culture, leisure activities shopping opportunities amenities, whereas other services, safety, living conditions outdoor recreation disamenities.
